Mission
As a student organization at The City College of New York, our mission is to give all students an opportunity to enjoy and explore the outdoors. In affiliation with the Appalachian Mountain Club, we engage in outdoor related activities while fostering the importance of conservation and protection of Earth's natural resources. The Outdoors Club at CCNY aims to provide students with gratifying experiences, guidance in outdoor skills, and overall leadership development. Anything from nature walks, to hiking mountains, to indoor rock climbing, we do it. Are you interested in learning some essential outdoor skills, bringing yourself closer to nature, or just adventuring in an outdoor environment? Then The Outdoors Club is for you!

Membership Benefits
As a member of the Outdoors Club at CCNY, students will have the chance to connect to the outdoors, gain outdoor skills and leadership, while enjoying the serenity of nature. The Outdoors Club is affiliated with the Appalachian Mountain Club which is a non-profit organization that promotes outdoor recreation, education, and environmental conservation in the Northeast region of America. Our affiliation with the AMC allows active, participating CCNY Outdoors Club members to have direct access to resources that can connect them to the outdoors, whether it be hiking or camping gear, lodging or camping, or the education of outdoor skills that will give you the confidence you need when you are adventuring in the great outdoors!
