MLK National Day of Service 2017 at PS 194 M

Celebrate MLK Day 2017, a national day of service, with New York Cares and partner agency PS 194 M. “Why do you serve?” will guide our day together as we engage in a number of different tasks with the goal of building and strengthening community.
Volunteers should be prepared to participate in any of the following activities on the day; leveling the library, painting school hallways, painting canvas murals, working with children on literacy and craft or fitness activities, storage cleanout, games with seniors, or assembling care packages to be donated to a local agency.
Volunteers are also encouraged to join New York Cares staff and our community partners in a “Sunday Supper” conversation at the end of our day together around why you serve. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. See you there!
