As we launch our second newsletter, TriBeta is thrilled to welcome you back to a world of scientific exploration and discovery. We're here to celebrate the pursuit of knowledge with you. And to our friends celebrating Thanksgiving this week, we extend warm wishes for a joyful and gratitude-filled celebration.

Opportunities

  1. Quantitative Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience:
    QSURE offers motivated undergraduates hands-on cancer research, pairing them with mentors for data-driven projects. Provides skills in biostatistics, epidemiology, and computational oncology, along with career development and exposure to diverse data applications. Interns gain scientific and presentation training in a supportive cohort. Apply here. (Deadline: January 22nd, 2024)
  2. Mount Sinai Program in Biomedical Big Data Science:
    Offers a ten-week, research-intensive experience focused on biomedical big data science, participants engage in faculty-mentored independent research projects addressing data-intensive biomedical challenges. Areas of exploration include data harmonization, machine learning, cloud computing, and dynamic data visualization. Apply Here.(Deadline: February 1st, 2024)
  3. BioXFEL Summer Internship Program: Provides hands-on laboratory training in the study of biological molecules using X-ray Free Electron Lasers (XFELs). Available in various locations, the program offers a  stipend covering housing and travel expenses, emphasizing research experience, presentation skills, and networking with leading XFEL researchers. Apply here.( Deadline: February 16th, 2024)
  4. REU at Brooklyn College: Offers a 15-week immersive research experience in clinical, cognitive, and behavioral neuroscience. The program includes comprehensive laboratory research, scholarly didactics, research ethics training, and culminates in a first-authored research poster presented at Brooklyn College's annual Science Day. Apply here. (Deadline: December 1st, 2023)
  5. Department of Pediatrics Summer Training Program:  Offers a 10-week research training opportunity for students aspiring to pursue careers in biomedical or clinical research. The program focuses on developing fundamental research skills through hands-on projects, mentorship from faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics, and exposure to various research methodologies. Students participate in research seminars, emphasizing scientific material appropriate to their understanding. Apply here. (Deadline: February 9th, 2023)
