Good Morning Research Enthusiasts!

Welcome to our newsletter launch. As always, TriBeta aims to help you extend the boundaries of scientific research and academia. We would like to advertise our Biology Department Info Session coming up on Feb.4th with special guest speakers. Register on campus groups. 

Stay tuned for exciting opportunities in research, academic scholarship, and current news in the scientific world!

CUNY CAREER LAUNCH:
Cuny Career Launch is the perfect opportunity for students to kickstart their careers by interning in a job related to their major. With a CUNY Career Launch internship, you are paid to pursue your future career and learn on the job! Internships are designed for CUNY undergrads who have had no prior paid internship experience.

Applications are open now. Deadline: February 17, 2025!

Becoming an Official TriBeta Member

Tribeta plans on hosting an induction ceremony for those who seek to become official members of the TriBeta Chi Nu Chi Chapter. Attendance at events is required to be eligible to become a member of TriBeta.  It is also recommended to become more involved with the club for those who seek to be on next year's Eboard. More information on how be a part of the induction ceremony will be released soon.

  1. Healthy CUNY: Get access to your campus counselors and other mental health resources. 
  2. CCNY Health and Wellness Services: Get access to accommodations, counseling, emergency grants, and gender resources on campus.
  3. CUNY Food Pantries: You can find a directory of CUNY food pantries with your campus location and contact information.
  4. CCNY Scholarships: Offers a wide variety of awards. Many are still available!

Biology Department Info Session

On Feb.4, at 12:30 pm TriBeta and Biology Club will host a Biology Info Session where you will get to engage with faculty about the many biology degree programs, course requirements, research opportunities, and campus resources. Special speakers include Dean Perkins, Chair Lohman, Dr. Emerson, Dr. Pezzano, Dr. Li, Dr. Grigoryev, and Dr. Edelman. This is a great way to find opportunities to get involved with your favorite professors. This event is over Zoom, please register with this link.
