So we need to reach out to all the students to inform them about these events to make all these events a successful one. I'll try my best to gather students from different major as well. Because students are looking for opportunities but most of them are unaware of these great events that psychology club is doing. I also want to create fun activities for the students so we can have some fun besides all the stress and pressure. Apart from these I would like to interact with other e-board members and discuss ideas and thoughts for making Psychology club as one of the pioneer clubs at CCNY.

Mitali Jahan
ASSISTANT PRESIDENT
What do you hope to accomplish as an e-board member?
As an e-board member I would like to provide as much assistance as I can, to the psychology group, whether it's through arts & crafts ideas or volunteering ideas relating to our club. I want to be able to put myself as a team member, an e-board member, that can provide my ideas about events and gatherings. I would want to have everyone in the club serve as a mentor for each other. I hope to learn from your experiences as being an e-board member so that I can grow and help this club to grow as well. With this in mind, we are/can be great mentors to each other and to others in the psychology club.
What is your major? & why?
My major is a bachelor of arts in Psychology and Business Administration. I have been interested in Psychology since a freshman taking Dr. Melara’s course. A concentration in therapy and counseling inspired me to think about possibly being a therapist. Later, I got interested in Business Administration because I’m also interested in Human Resources. I want to have a job where I can apply psychology as my profession; therefore, I see organizational psychology as one of my higher interests in a career (after a masters).
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies include reading, traveling to where there is delicious food, watching some older films, music and dramas from different cultural background (e.g. American, Indian, Korean, Japanese). Most importantly, learning about new cultures!
Any advice you have for our members?
We learn from each other. I can’t think of what advice to provide to the e-board members except to stay resilient! We all have so much going on in our life. Being able to find the balance between being a part of a club and accomplishing our other priorities is wonderful. We just have to remind ourselves to add in our doses of self-care! In having these types of daily/occasional reminders it can help us and other club members to have a positive learning experience!
Random fact about you
I like to eat Haagen Daaz (vanilla and chocolate almond) bars when it’s chilly and windy! The more frosty the better it tastes to me.

Gina Bravo
ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT
What do you hope to accomplish as an e-board member?
As an e-board member, I, hope to collaborate with other members and have a successful year. I hope to help develop several events throughout the semester for the students while also connecting more with members.
What is your major? & why?
I am currently a psychology major and sociology minor. I decided to major in psychology because I wanted to explore more about human intricacies. What I hoped to achieve was understanding individuals at a more personal level and how their environment impacts them. It was also significant to understand the social context of a person's environment which influenced my decision to minor in sociology and learn how groups of people interact with one another on a broader level.
What are your hobbies?
I have lots of hobbies! I like exploring the city since there are so many hidden treasures and I always find myself surprised at what I find. I also like to sit in a quiet place and read a good book. Other than these hobbies, I also love watching horror movies.
Any advice you have for our members?
For the upcoming semester, it is important to communicate effectively. There will be several tasks that our e-board team will set out to do and it's imperative to have an open mind and discuss various ideas with one another. Let's not forget to have fun along the way because it can get very stressful at times! But we should all know we can rely on one another if we need help or guidance in anything.
Random fact about you
A random fact about me is that I enjoy doing nail art!

Alicia Davis
CLUB AMBASSADOR
What do you hope to accomplish as an e-board member?
I hope to accomplish as an e-board member that I am able to inform students about the resources around them and to take advantage not only that but to reassure them that we are there sisters and brothers; in addition they are welcome to relax in the lounge and we here to advise them as much and to communicate with other departments.
What is you major? why?
My major is Psychology. The reason why I chose psychology as my major is because I always wanted to help children but then I realize that psychology as more to it and everyone needs help so I decided that I need to be well rounded which I then work in the Department of Education around New York as a Sub-paraprofessional with both normal and disabled children of all ages. I also decided that I needed to support the mental people especially elderly patients where I now volunteer at the hospital called Mount Sinai St.Luke's and also working as college assistant/counselor in your school at the career office otherwise called Career and Professional Development Institute I have learned more how to support students and also learn from you all as well. So this is why I am going towards my degree in Social Work in the future. (I am also apart of UMAAN as a mentor)
Any advice you have for our members?
I encourage members to sacrifice by doing internships, volunteer, community service, get involved in school do not miss opportunities if you will regret.
