1.       Salesforce is one of the most in-demand skills employers are looking for in today’s economy. Companies across all sectors – non-profit, finance, consulting, health – use Salesforce to manage their business operations. CUNY students are invited to participate in PepUp Tech’s FREE 10 week training to led by industry professionals to learn about App Development, Mobile technologies, Data Management and Security, Data base Administration, Process Automation, Career opportunities. Students that complete this training have the opportunity to obtain Salesforce Administrator Certification and receive hands-on support with accessing jobs in the Salesforce ecosystem. The training takes place on 10 consecutive Saturdays from 9am – 12pm starting October 6^th.  Interested CUNY students should complete the Expression of Interest form by September 21.

·         Sales Associate: One of the technology companies at the Yard is looking for a Sales Associate who can help sell their energy techology solution to companies. Role would include:Meet and exceed quotas;  Develop prospect list and sales strategy;  Develop and qualify opportunities;  Develop relationships with customers and understand their needs;  Track sales activities. Qualifications: Metrics experience; CRM experience; Sales experience; Sales Tracking and Reporting.

 

·         Marketing Manager: The same technology company is looking for a Marketing Manager who can help spread the word about the company's technology. This includes: Developing social media voice across all platforms; Maintain website and ecommerce platform; Work with sales team to create lead generation strategies; Track all marketing metrics; Use CRM to track activities; Create content and brand collateral. Qualifications: 1-2 years experience in marketing; Social Media experience; Experience using email/CRM automation platforms to drive marketing campaigns; Experience using email and website metrics to improve strategy; SEO experience; Experience using WordPress; Exceptional writing and communications skills; Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.

 

2.       The CUNY Institute for State & Local Governance is seeking currently enrolled CUNY students to be a part of a team that will conduct in-person surveys of New York City residents about perceptions of safety and experiences with law enforcement. The surveys will be collected in Fall 2018. Students hired for this project will work a total of 33 hours for the Fall phase. (Students who worked a previous phase, including Summer 2018, are also eligible for the Fall phase.) Students should expect that they will work several shifts per week, each lasting approximately 3 hours, during that period. The Fall 2018 surveys will be conducted in Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.

Student Eligibility Criteria for the Fall 2018 Phase: Currently enrolled CUNY student – either part-time or full-time; Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5; Available for a 3-hour training on October 12, and able to work 30 hours on a short-term project between October 15 and December 2, 2018; Reasonable availability between 10am-6pm on both weekdays and weekends during that period (Students who are only available on weekends should not apply for this project. Students will be scheduled for 2-5 shifts per week. Students should anticipate some weather disruptions and unexpected schedule changes, and thus, should have availability beyond the 30 work hours.); Willing to travel to Manhattan, Queens, and/or Staten Island; Comfort speaking to strangers, including people who are different than you; Proper work authorization required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The Executive Associate is responsible for supporting individual giving, special events, public and private grant proposals and reports, institutional reports and fundraising appeals. The Associate will also support programs and other core Field events as needed. The Associate position has significant growth potential for a dynamic candidate who is ready to dive in. To facilitate the growth of this position, s/he/they will work with our grantwriter and other Field staff; classes and workshops will also be available as needed. ·         Associate Manager of Tours and Visitor Learning Programs at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum: The Associate Manager of Tours and Visitor Learning Programs plays supports the Museum’s goals for expanding and supporting strategic growth audiences through tours and our Volunteer program. S/he coordinates all administrative and logistical aspects of the Museum’s tour program including scheduling public and private talks and tours for school children, college students, and adults. S/he also works closely with the Director of Visitor Learning on the management of the Volunteer and Museum Teacher programs, and supervises interns. S/he works collaboratively with Education colleagues and cross departmentally to realize the Museum’s audience development and tour goals.

 

Internships:

1.       Cultural Corps has re-opened applications to fill an additional 40 spots for the Academic Year 2018-19. The program offers an amazing learning experience in the arts and culture sector. Intern Description: RAP is now looking for co-facilitators for our Youth LEAP program. Youth LEAP is a youth leadership and peer advocacy training program that trains youth to identify social justice issues that they are passionate about, and to design and launch original Community Impact Initiatives that create concrete positive change in their communities.  The co-facilitator will be training in leading these programs all over New York City. This semester we are offering the facilitators MetroCards, support on getting college credit for their work, letters of recommendations, goody bags, and lunch at the training sessions.
