Ariela Garcia

The City College of New York
Ariela Garcia is a first-generation Dominican American. She was born and raised in Washington Heights, NYC but currently resides in the Bronx with her partner, son, and dog, Simba. She graduated from CUNY Lehman College with a B.S. in 2017 and M.A. in 2019, both majoring in Health Education and Promotion with a concentration in community health. She also double-minored in Women's and Gender Studies and Psychology.
Prior to COVID, she worked as a Family Planning Health Educator, and as a Clinic Engagement Coordinator for New York City Teen's Connection with the DOHMH. She is currently a Program Coordinator /Community Educator at the Mount Sinai SA VI Program. She is very passionate about violence prevention, community health, and the autonomy that education can provide folks when it's provided to them.
