Workshop #6: Effective Communication in Conflicts

Imagine a world where each person communicates effectively about their needs, even in tense conflicts. Building our individual skills is a step toward such a world. This workshop is not about tips for speaking clearly to an audience. This workshop focuses on practicing communication in conflicts where people need to work together. Learn how to use communication methods like debate, discussion, disengagement, and dialogue at the right moments to problem solve. We'll also practice using clear communication around one's own interests, not just one's positions (or stances) and learn the skill of checking in on our perceptions in tricky moments.
