During this interactive and engaging workshop leaders will dive into the world of intersectionality, uncovering how diverse identities shape experiences and learning powerful strategies to create more inclusive and equitable communities where they are. Leaders will learn how to embrace intersectionality to be more effective and empathetic in their roles and create spaces where everyone can thrive toward our highest possibilities.

Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC)


Eric McGriff (he/him) is an identical twin, a hip-hop violinist, and a competitive Latin ballroom dancer. He is also the Prevention Coordinator at the Crime Victims Treatment Center in New York City, where he oversees the organization's K-12, Campus, and Nightlife programs. Additionally, McGriff works both nationally and globally to support community-level strategies to prevent and end violence in his roles as a Dept. of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) TTA Consultant, and Global Peace Ambassador. Eric has an extensive background engaging men and boys as allies in ending gender-based violence and working with men who have caused harm in his capacity as a Prevention Educator and former Spokesperson for UN Women. Eric believes in being “in it, with” the communities he serves and strives to collaborate toward each community’s highest possibilities.
