Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program
Graduate Chapter

The Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program is a mission-based program that reaches out to high schools in underserved communities and brings them to the CUNY School of Medicine. We bring high school students to the campus every Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 pm to expose them to the sciences of medicine, and to expose them to different health care professions. We also provide our students with mentoring sessions. Our mentors are current medical students and undergraduate students in the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education Program. Our hopes for our high school students is to bring them closer to healthcare and to make them realize that they, too, can be a part of medicine.

Physician Assistant Program Student Society in the CUNY School of Medicine (PAPSSCSM)

We, the students of the CUNY School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program realize that through a formal organization we can benefit ourselves, our program and our community. It is for this reason that we established the Student Society of the AAPA. In all aspects of its function, this society will pursue integrity, equality, dignity, and competence for the physician assistant as a healthcare practitioner. We exist to promote diversity in healthcare by sharing about our profession with fellow City College students, the surrounding community, and visitors that are welcomed to our weekly club meetings.
