ACM Association for Computing Machinery The ACM is the international society for computing professionals. The club aims to foster a community of Computer Science students and tech enthusiasts who collaborate in developing the skills they need in the industry, expanding their network, participating in activities related to new technologies, and learning how to further their professional careers.
Ahlul-Bayt Student Association The purpose of the Ahlul-Bayt Student Association will be to spread the teachings and sunnah of Ahlul Bayt, the Prophet Muhammad, and his Pure Progeny. Through faith-inspired activities, we intend on building a faith based community on campus to share Islamic values of righteousness and justice.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Develops Leaders, Promotes Brotherhood, and Academic Excellence While Providing Service and Advocacy for Our Communities.
American Medical Student Association The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is the largest national association run by pre-medical and medical school students. AMSA's mission include educating students on essential topics that diverge from the traditional curricula, unifying physicians in training from across the country, and empowering students through advocacy initiatives. AMSA Sophie Davis has hosted several events such as the national fall AMSA conference, the annual Food Talk, and upcoming Bioethics Symposium. Through these events, AMSA Sophie Davis aims to improve the future of medicine through student involvement and education.
American Medical Student Association - Graduate Chapter The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is the largest national association run by pre-medical and medical school students. The AMSA Graduate Chapter will host several events such as the national fall AMSA conference, the annual Food Talk, and the suturing event. Through these events, the AMSA Graduate Chapter aims to improve the future of medicine through student involvement and education.
American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) The main mission of ASEE’s national organization is to promote engineering education to the young generation in our community. In addition, the goals of ASEE@CCNY include helping students to advance their career by working with the ASEE faculty advisor to organize a number of Engineering education events such as: a) information sessions on CCNY professors' research interests given by invited professors, b) information sessions on summer internships in federal institutions and universities, c) faculty guided peer-led recitations for some "gate-keeping" courses in different majors, d)engineering awareness and engineering networking reception to encourage college and high school and middle school students, in particular, the under-represented minority groups and women, to pursue education and career in STEM fields, e) help ASEE@CCNY members to attend national and regional conferences for career opportunities.
American Society of Landscape Architecture Student Chapter at the City College of New York (ASLA) The ASLA-NY Student Chapter at the Spitzer School of Architecture provides a direct link between the largest organization of professional landscape architects and the only accredited MLA program in New York City. The student chapter provides events, meetings and other opportunities for students to gain connections to practicing landscape architects, as well as a practical understanding of the field of landscape architecture in New York City.
Badminton Club Thank you for visiting the Badminton Club. Our mission is to provide a welcoming and joyful environment where everyone can let off some steam from school and work. All undergrads, regardless of your Badminton level or skill, are welcome. Our ultimate goal is to form a team and compete against other schools' teams.
Band of Brothers To facilitate the needs of any campus activity in need of volunteers, and to enrich the moral values of the student body of CCNY.
Be The Match Be The Match is a non-profit organization. Their goal is to help patients who have blood cancers and life threatening diseases. BTM has the world's largest marrow donor registry. Only 4% of the swabs in their banks come from African Americans. Patients are more likely to match with someone of their same ethnicity, which is why it is crucial to grow and diversify the registry. You can help by educating your community on the need for more donors and inspiring them to join the registry. Help us to fundraise for patients who are financially burdened, signup and receive a swab kit, join the registry under our Team.
Beaver Nation Network Sports Marketing Club The mission of The Beaver Nation Network (BNN) Sports Marketing Club is to significantly improve the visibility of athletics on our campus as well as increase school spirit and student engagement.
Biomedical Asian Health Coalition (Graduate Chapter) The purpose of this organization shall be to promote active student participation in events set up and run by students. This organization will bring both students and faculty together through the setting up of friendly competitions with prizes for the winning teams. The organization will also act to bring the Sophie Davis community together while raising money and volunteer to assist with APAMSA's mission to give back to the community.
Biomedical Engineering Graduate Student Association (BMEGSA) The BMEGSA aims to bring together the students of our department through social and team-building activities.
Black Student Union Black Student Union strives to foster a sense of community for all students. It will provide an opportunity for students to express their views concerning current events, academics, cultural arts, and campus life. Black Student Union is more then just a club, it's a community. BSU strives to give students an outlet for anything they're dealing with while attending college. Our main focus is urban success and black excellence. Our older members know how it feels to be in a new environment and how, without guidance, nothing else seems to go right. We, as a club, are available for guidance in any and every aspect, whether it is school/class-related, or just about life and sports. BSU is not about what ethnicity you are but your passion for helping others. Although we're starting small we hope to really take off with our club. Our activities and schedule for this coming year will include Umoja Show, fashion shows, BBQs, hosting club dance nights, outdoor sports activities, group meetings, "themed fun nights", and volunteering hours at the local organizations in Harlem.
CCNY A Cappella Club The mission of this club is to provide an open environment for students from any major and musical background to create a cappella music. We hope that as a club we help many students improve their own talents and be able to work as a team to bring a cappella music to the campus.
CCNY Amateur Radio Society The CCNY Amateur Radio Society was founded in the early 1900s to promote and assist students with the operation of amateur radio equipment. The radio station's official call sign is W2HJ; and our equipment allows us to speak with people as far away as South Africa; Eastern Europe; The Caribbean; and South America. Amateur Radio operators provided emergency communications during Hurricane Sandy; Hurricane Katrina; and 9/11; and have a long-standing tradition of community service; including non-emergency communications during city marathons and other events. Our club seeks to provide the local community with hands-on experience operating and building their own radio equipment.
CCNY Arts and Crafts The purpose of this club is to promote an artistic social environment for students to express their abilities, expand their knowledge and be part of the art community.
CCNY Association for Women in Mathematics The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics is to create a community in which women and girls can thrive in their mathematical endeavors, and to promote equitable opportunity and treatment of women and others of marginalized genders and gender identities across the mathematical sciences.
CCNY Cybersecurity Club The Undergraduate Cybersecurity Club at CCNY is composed of students interested in expanding their knowledge about the technical realm of security. Club members will engage collaboratively and independently to help hone their personal and professional development through a practical, beyond-the-classroom experience. In upcoming semesters, students will enhance their technical skills and understanding of ethics in cybersecurity while participating in case study competitions, professional, and career events.
CCNY Knitting Club We are a community of people that are passionate about the art of making. We primarily focus on knitting but welcome makers of all kinds. We're always willing to help people learn and grow within the craft.
CCNY Nursing Club CCNY Nursing club will provide resources to current students who are on a journey to pursue Nursing post-graduation while simultaneously expanding club member's knowledge about the Nursing profession.
CCNY RAP-SI Provide a social and educational network for all student at CCNY!
CCNY Women's Robotics Club Women's Robotics Club is an initiative to increase the number of women in the STEM field by exposing them to robotics-related projects, internships, and different careers available within the technology industry. We hope to assist them on their journey to become independent and innovative leaders. We will promote and increase the confidence/knowledge of women in this male-dominated field.
Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Association Our club is here to help foster the community of the Chemical Engineering department and help Graduate Students in networking with professionals
Chi Epsilon Chi Epsilon is the only civil engineering national honor society. Acceptance into this prestigious and exclusive club is based on your demonstration of the four pillars of this organization: scholarship, character, practicality,and sociability. We have banded together to give back to the students of civil engineering and help them along their journey to professionalism.
Chi Epsilon XE Chi Epsilon seeks to foster excellence, connectivity and engagement among those in the civil engineering community. As a campus club we seek to educate and encourage students to pursue a career in civil engineering and exemplify scholarship, character, practicality and sociability which are the four pillars of Chi Epsilon.
Chinese Culture Club (3C) To connect students who are interested in the Chinese culture. We are dedicated to promote the Chinese traditional culture and connect students who appreciate our culture. CCNY 3C organizes events such as shows, food sales, competitions to encourage students to learn Chinese language and Chinese traditional performing arts.
Christians on Campus at CCNY The mission of Christians on Campus at CCNY in the City College of New York is to bring student Christians and truth-seeking students together to conduct an in-depth study of the Bible as well as practice a normal Christian student life. Christians on Campus at CCNY will serve as a tool to assist students, especially international students, with their both spiritual life and daily living on campus, and maintain a good mental health, which in turn will have positive impact upon their academic achievement. Christians on Campus at CCNY will help students explore the truth and know the eternal purpose of God as revealed in the Bible, and practice a high-quality spiritual life that would lead to a true experience of Christ and love for Christ and campus community.
Cinema Society Our mission at the Cinema Society is to provide a social and networking space for film students within and without the department and CCNY - we want to offer a a complementary experience to the academic side of filmmaking that is offered to the student body.
City Chaahat City Chaahat is a student-run dance team that specializes in the fusion of various dance styles, including Bollywood, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, etc. Founded in 2011 by a handful of passionate young dancers, this group has upheld its original purpose of showcasing South Asian culture through the sport of dance on the campus of City College of New York (CCNY). Today (2022-23), this diverse dance group has grown to just over 13 talented members ranging from college freshmen to seniors – some of whom have professionally danced before and many of whom are beginners! These dancers continue to make choreography and are constantly looking for innovative ways to spice up their dance routines!
City Honors Illustrious Mentor Program (CHiMP) To focus on the welfare and transition of incoming freshmen Honors and Macaulay Honors students into the City College of New York.
Climb CCNY The purpose of this organization is to introduce, teach, and encourage students in the sport of rock climbing. We seek to establish a safe and fun learning environment that will accommodate athletes of any level. There will be opportunities available for more advanced experiences should students wish to pursue the sport competitively which would be outside the scope of the club. We hope to engage students both with their fitness and their relationship to nature. Our goal is to get people moving and bring students together in a communal sport without judgment. We hope to grow an expansive climbing community at City College of New York.
Deep Foundations Institute DFI is a nonprofit, international organization that unites different disciplines within the deep foundations industry. DFI exists in order to promote the continuous advancement of foundation design. The DFI CCNY chapter is one of four student chapters in the United States. DFI CCNY provides students with exposure to geotechnical and foundation engineering with relevant lectures and field trips.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of college educated women committed to constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the black community.
DIAP Club DIAP Club is meant to create bridges between digital media art students and students from other disciplines. Main activities of the club include meals, screenings, shows, workshops and lectures around topics including but not limited to, narrative and non-narrative time-based art, digital cultures, interactivity, playable media, physical computing, internet as art and/or communications media and spatial mapping.
Economics, Business and Finance: EBFS The Economics Business and finance society (EBFS) is focused on establishing financial literacy for all CCNY students. Through proper budgeting skills, investment techniques, corporate speakers and even building competitive credit scores, we stand to assure that all CCNY students are exposed to a rich financial education to prepare for life after college.
Electronic Design and Multimedia Club The EDM Club was organized by EDM students. Our mission is to discuss contemporary design issues and to foster a sense of community for EDM students. Some of our activities include field trips to design houses in New York City, guest lecturers and presentations on campus, networking and other events that enable students to meet each other.
